Achiote Cauliflower Steaks
1/2 Smokey Achiote Sauce
1 large Cauliflower
Salt & pepper
Preparation + Roast
Preheat oven to 350* F.
Coat the cauliflower steaks with olive oil, salt & pepper
Roast uncovered in your oven for 15-20 minutes, turning once, until slightly golden and fork tender.
Remove from oven and set aside, ready to use.
Heat a heavy bottomed skillet with a few tablespoons of oil.
Sear the cauliflower steaks at medium high heat for a minute or two.
Turn the cauliflowers steaks in the pan and add about 2-3 tablespoons of the Achiote marinade.
Allow the sauce to get hot in the pan with the steaks, being careful not to burn it!
Serve over a bed of brown rice
